Suppliers & Procurement
In August 2018 we launched the procurement process for Greenlink by inviting companies to express their interest to tender for the EPC contracts for the construction of the Greenlink interconnector (see below). The procurement process is progressing well and contracts will be announced in Q4 2019.
Greenlink is committed to maximising the use of locally-based contractors and personnel during the construction and operational phases of the project.
Construction work on Greenlink is expected to lead to significant expenditure in both Ireland and Wales. A large amount of work is due to take place at the landfall, cable and converter station sites and will require skills and experience available from contractors found in the local area.
The types of services that could be locally sourced include:
Transportation – equipment and personnel
Materials, e.g. supplying and pouring concrete
Site services, e.g. portacabins and portaloos
Hospitality and catering for civil engineering, activities and earthworks.
Office and cleaning supplies
24th August 2018: OJEU Contract Notice issued for construction of the Greenlink Interconnector
An OJEU Contract Notice has been published today (24 August 2018) to commence the procurement of the EPC contracts necessary for the construction of the Greenlink electricity interconnector.
Applicants wishing to participate in the Greenlink Interconnector procurement process should email email@example.com to request access to the initial procurement documents (the ‘Expression of Interest’ form and ‘Pre-Qualification Questionnaire’ (“PQQ”)).
Applicants have until 12.00 (BST) on 12th October 2018 to submit a completed PQQ. Full details can be found in the PQQ document.
