Suppliers & Procurement

In September 2021 we announced that a consortium comprising Siemens Energy AG (Siemens Energy) and Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd (Sumitomo Electric) have been awarded the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the Greenlink electricity interconnector project.   This was following a procurement process that started in August 2018 with an invitation for expressions of interest to tender.  


Construction of the Greenlink electricity Interconector is scheduled to start in early 2022. Greenlink and its appointed contractors, Siemens Energy and Sumitomo Electric, are committed to offering local supply chain opportunities wherever possible. 


There may be a requirement for the following goods and services: 


  • Cleaners/Office Cleaning 

  • Receptionist/Office Manager 

  • Document Controller 

  • Canteen Staff/Catering/Sandwich Vans 

  • Milk Deliveries 

  • Bottled Water/Water Coolers 

  • Waste Recycling 

  • Site Security 

  • Time Lapse & Drone Photography 

  • Site Establishment Cabins 

  • Restaurants 

  • Supermarkets/Grocery Supplies 

  • Accommodation: Hotels/B&B/Caravans 

  • Taxi Services 

  • Gym Membership 

  • Hedgerow Clearance 

  • Weedkilling 

  • Road Sweeper 

  • Builders Merchants 

  • Fencing & Gates 

  • Road Surfacing

In November we are holing ‘meet-the-buyer’ events in Pembrokeshire and Wexford. These are an opportunity for local suppliers to: 

  • hear the latest news about the project, including the construction programme 

  • meet representatives from Siemens Energy and Sumitomo Electric to discuss what their business can offer 

  • find out how to bid for contracts. 


Please note that you must register in advance for these events and book a meeting slot, please see our Meet-the-Buyer page for more information.

If you are unable to attend the events in your area but feel that you can supply goods and/or services that may be of interest, please email  with summary details of your company and the point of contact. Please note: by providing these details you are agreeing to us holding them on the database and passing them to the relevant EPC contractors when appointed.  If you do not agree to this, or would like them removed at any time, please let us know by emailing the same address.  To be clear, Greenlink Interconnector Limited cannot guarantee any contract for works or the provision of services.  This will be a decision solely for the relevant EPC Contractor.
