Consul General visits Greenlink interconnector site in Wales

25 May 2022 - We were delighted to welcome Denise Hanrahan, the Consul General of Ireland, Cardiff, to our site in Pembrokeshire for an update on the Greenlink project as construction gets under way. Denise was joined by her colleague Vice Consul Niall Veale and representatives from Enterprise Ireland UK, Jack Counihan and Darragh Cotter. The team discussed the ongoing benefits to Wales and Ireland of the 190km subsea and underground interconnector and visited the offshore landing site at Freshwater West, the onshore cable route and the converter station site near Pembroke power station.
