Greenlink developers welcome Ofgem's reversal of 'minded to' decision

12 August 2015. In March of this year, Element Power the renewable energy developer behind the Greenlink project expressed its surprise and dismay at the regulator's minded to position in respect of the Greenlink project between GB and Ireland.


Element Power has responded to Ofgem’s consultation presenting new information with regard to the Irish I-SEM market design and transmission constraints.


We are delighted to report that Ofgem has assessed this information which shows a benefit to GB consumers and GB welfare and hence Ofgem is consulting on its revised view to grant a cap and floor regime for Greenlink with conditions. The consultation period runs until 11 September 2016, where Ofgem invites stakeholder views on the new information presented as well as the implications thereof. Read more here...
