Greenlink project moves forward with appointment of Intertek

17 May 2018 - Greenlink has appointed Intertek to provide marine environmental and planning support for its proposed 500MW, €400million electricity interconnector project between Ireland and Great Britain.

Simon Ludlam, Greenlink’s Project Director, said;

“Greenlink will connect the power markets of Ireland and the UK bringing energy security, investment and low carbon benefits on both sides. Following the Irish regulator’s paper in March setting out the roadmap for approval of cap and floor regulation for Greenlink, we are now focused on progressing the environmental permitting. We are delighted to have reached a significant milestone in the project’s development in awarding a contract for marine environmental and planning support and look forward to continuing our successful relationship with Intertek.”
