UK Land Compulsory Purchase Order Documentation
As an Interconnector Licence holder, Greenlink Interconnector Limited commenced a Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) process in January 2020 with consultation running from 15 January 2020 until 7 February 2020. The aim of the CPO process is to ensure that infrastructure projects such as Greenlink can proceed confident that all land rights required to deliver the project are held by the developer so that the project can be delivered in a timely and cost effective manner. A public inquiry is scheduled for 20 and 21 October 2020
Greenlink Interconnector Limited is committed to achieving voluntary agreements for all land interests relating to the project.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to rule 11 of the Compulsory Purchase (Inquiries
Procedure) Rules 2007 (as amended) that a public inquiry will open at 10am on Friday
20 November 2020 in respect of the Greenlink Interconnector Limited (Greenlink,
Pembroke) Compulsory Purchase Order 2020.

If confirmed, the order will authorise Greenlink Interconnector Limited to purchase
compulsorily land and the new rights for the purpose of carrying on the activities
authorised by its interconnector licence under the Electricity Act 1989 and, in
particular the construction, use and maintenance of an electricity interconnector
comprising underground cables, converter station and associated development as part
of the wider Greenlink project to allow the transfer of electrical power between the
United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.

The public inquiry will be conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams. Please register with
PINs, by emailing Stephen Waterfield of the Planning Inspectorate at
, if you intend to attend the Inquiry.
Please provide the title of the order, the purpose for you attending the public inquiry
and your address and interest in the land. You will be asked when registering to
indicate whether your language preference at the Inquiry is English or Welsh.
