18 March 2018 - Simon Ludlam presents at Engineers Ireland, 15th March, Dublin.

In a presentation to Engineers Ireland’s event “Ireland’s Energy Security in the Context of Brexit and the Renewable Energy Transition” on 15th March in Dublin, Simon Ludlam, Project Director for the Greenlink Interconnector, described how a growing Irish economy and increasing renewable energy mix requires further interconnection.  He  outlined how the privately-financed  Greenlink interconnector being developed by Element Power will provide a natural link to Europe’s energy markets via the UK in a way that avoids excessive capex line losses and has limited risk for consumers, while offering engineering jobs, inward investment and support for the low carbon economy.
